Abstract: Present paper analyses sociability and hospitality relationship between local residents and tourists through leisure and entertainment practices offered at 43rd Avenue, in Barretos, SP, during the Rodeo Festival, in This research adopted hypothetical-deductive method with qualitative and quantitative characteristics. Before and during festival, questionnaires were applied to local residents who live surrounded area and also to tourists. It was also found that even if there is no specific leisure equipment, 43rd avenue is considered as a leisure option for those people who cannot afford or be part of the festival due to its high prices. The research also present that tourist really want to be with localista residents to fraternize in a way that escapes from high prices charged in indoors places besides to be free to come and go near the hotels, pubs and restaurants. A Hospitalidade é uma ferramenta importante para receber turistas e ampliar os benefícios que podem ser gerados a partir da convivência entre estes e os moradores locais.
